DESCRIPTION: APW – Waltham, Railroader, Model 1892, 17J, 18S, nickel OF swingout recase with gold inlaid train scene on rear, white enamel SS dial, SW-LS, spiral pattern nickel damascene, frosted finish winding wheels, s#8010051. A rare watch, the Model 1892 "Railroader" was made in just a few small production runs. CONDITION: Mvt: GRO, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, numerous fine and micro-fine scratches on main plate with the most visible of these between the case screw position and the s#, few specks of oxide on winding wheels and regulator; dial has two short hls at 1, minuscule pinpoint surface nick at 12:30, small edge chip under bezel at setting lever, very short fracture along edge under bezel near 4; excellent minute and seconds-hand, hour hand with finish loss and fine scratch striations to its spade; case shows very light wear, scattered tiny nicks on rear, excellent engraving detail; tight bow, crown shows light wear; good glass crystal.
